The first time I won a competition, I won myself for second time. I won myself for first time when I pushed my limits and decided to participate in the competition. Again, a memory from my school life. I was studying in 7th standard in village. Students who learns from school situated in village have a lower self-confidence level and communication skills compared to students from city. On the occasion of republic day our school celebreated republic week with a feast of competitions. Every competition was exciting for our class except essay and speech contest. Only one student raised her hand for a speech contest. At that moment I decided to conquer the fear which was nothing other but my inferiority complex. I took part in that competition. Our class teacher announced that this time we have 2 participants which will be obvious winners because there are always 3 ranks for every competition and we have minimum number of participants. I did great in speech competition and won it with first prize which was totally unexpected for everyone in my class. That day I realised I won when I decided to participate. Sometimes all we have to do is conquer our fears. Take part and be a part.
