They don’t understand that homes are built on sacrifices
Not arms, drugs, war and scattered vices
My safe haven should have never been taken away
Just yesterday in the shade
Today burning up in the sun again
How much more longer will life test my faith
I have no hope left
My life has been an incident of theft
After a stormy night came a dead calm
For days together, trauma kept me alarmed
Nothing felt the same
We woke up different this time
I wasn’t me and they weren’t fine
Now life is a rocky road
Everything built in the air, has fallen to the floor
The light shines yet again but darkness has filled our hearts
Bruises have healed but scars are on our bodies are etched in graphic art
Stone cold, like dead bodies every minute we decay
Now no amount of warmth will ever make us turn from grey.
