हर बर्बाद शहर में एक कवि रहता है,
उन टूटती दीवारों को देख शायद वो अपनी किताब में कुछ लिखता है।
हर रात को अंधेरा उसको डराता है,
पर उसका साया हर सुबह उसके साथ रहता है।
कभी उसको देख हँस लिया करता है,
तो कभी उसको देख रो लिया करता है।
पर उसकी कलम हर रोज़ नया शहर पुकारती है,
इसलिए मेरे मन में हर पल ये सवाल रहता है,
"वो क्यों नहीं आना चाहता इस शोर भरे शहर में?"
लेकिन हकीकत है,
हर बर्बाद शहर में एक कवि रहता है,
