I was startled by the sudden sound of rain, loud and joyous. As I ran outside, another sound followed. Kids singing and dancing in the rain, defying the cold. Not a care for the cool breeze.
The air was filled with a thick raw smell. Of dried dusty earth embracing the first drops of rain, hungrily. I inhaled the air that emitted their passion, their longing for each other.
Gradually, the raw smell transformed. Dry earth gave way to every drop of loving rain, and became softer. They danced on and with each other. Absorbing. Embracing. Loving ..
Year's first Rainfall,
Felt like Solace.
A long lost Happiness.
