If you have a proud on your religion, you will respect other's. But if you have an ego of your religion, you will defame other's. There's a difference.

There's nothing wrong with buying a Mercedes or building a dream castle
to live in!

I believe there are two kinds of people.

1) The people who work hard so they can afford luxury.

2) The people who work hard because they love to! Luxury is nothing for them but just a 'by product' of what they are doing!

Which one you choose to be is the answer to yourself about who you actually are?
