WAITING

I'm waiting.
Grabbing the steering wheel.
Phone in hand,
I called her up,
"Love, please don't hang up,
Your rejection is like a stake,
That stabs my heart & makes it break".
The storm is raging,
Rain drizzling,
My car stood still
Waiting.

A tree crashed
Light flashed
Dull thuds were heard.
passing cars stopped.
Cops, medics ran.
The body was put inside the ambulance van.
My spirit now stood
Watching as the events unfold.
I'm still waiting
Waiting for her,
Forever.

DON'T WISH

The kid waved it's hand,
"Mom, a shooting star is gonna land.
Can I
Make a wish?"

The mom smiled.
But the car crashed by the roadside.
The wheels slipped,
The car rolled,
Down the slope.
The glass broke,
Screams echoed through cracked holes.

The shooting star did land.
Somewhere distant,
Far from the car.
The mom waved her bleeding hands,
"No, don't wish".
The kid lay dead in the backseat
Caked in blood & guts
Half smiling.

Feather is light,
And so is time.

You can feel it,
Take it,
But it slips from your fingers.
You can't stall time.

Feathers fly
And so is time.
It glides before you,
Waving the bristles
And before you can hold it
It flies away
by another wind,
Just like time.
