"You only know the value of something when you lose it."
There's not any individual who can't relate to this. But why? Why can't we appreciate little things? Why can't we appreciate things at the right moment? Just a smile, just a nod, one word, one hug, one compliment, it's doesn't take much to value something when it's there. We always want risks and excitement and take what we already have for granted. We don't even realise what we're losing on, until we've lost it. Now what's the point of it all if it had to be shattered into pieces? And apologies have never been able to join back the broken pieces into whole.
Now what's left, is us in pieces, in photographs and the words that are still hanging in the air, in faded memories and the laughter that echo in our ears.
But then, do we ever learn?
We do it over and over again.
