आज मैं दो डायरी लेकर आऊंगा। जब मैं कुछ बोल न पाऊं, और हमारी बातें रुक जाएं तो एक में वो लफ़्ज़ लिखूंगा जो मैं आज सोचकर आया था पर तुमसे बोल न पाया। और तुम दूसरे डायरी में वो लिखना जो तुमने सोचा था, मैं तुमसे कहूंगा या तुम्हारे लिए कुछ करूंगा जो हो न पाया। अगर बस ख़ामोशी में ही बीत गए वो पल, फिर भी कोई मलाल मत रखना। हम जाते वक़्त ये डायरी एक्सचेंज करेंगे ताकि मैं अगली बार कोई ग़लती न करूं। इस बार बस माफ़ कर देना मुझे, फिर एक और मौक़ा देना मुझे।

Aaj main do diary lekar aaunga. Jab main kuchh bol na paun, aur hamari baatein ruk jaayein to ek mein wo lafz likhunga jo main aaj sochkar aaya tha par tumse bol na paaya. Aur tum doosre diary mein wo likhna jo tumne socha tha, main tumse kahunga ya tumhare liye kuchh karunga jo ho na paaya. Agar bas khamoshi mein hi beet gaye wo pal, phir bhi koi malaal mat rakhna. Hum jaate waqt ye diary exchange karenge taaki main agli baar koi galti na karun. Is baar bas maaf kar dena mujhe, phir ek aur mauka dena mujhe.
