WHAT NEXT??

What is really next for me?
To find a good job or travel abroad?
To seek comfort in my fatherland?
Or search for greener pasture in faraway land?

What is really next for me?
To allow my career to bloom and blossom?
Or to seek the comfort of a woman's bosom?
And adapt to the pressure of child-bearing?

What is really next for me?
To continue where my parent stopped and carry on with their suffering?
Or change my orientations even if I will be ostracized socially?
And better the poverty-stricken predicament of my family?

What is really next for me?
A question so direct yet confusing.
But I was told by the elders of my society.
That for every able man is the architect of his own destiny.

To that, I still seek the answer to what is really next for me

LAND OF THE SHADOW

I live beside the river of Hoax.
Where the reflection of you is not you.
Where the aqua-beings inhale intoxicant.
And breathe out their life essence in lethargic fumes.

I live where valuables stones are mainly rocks.
And brotherhood bonds has depreciated.
Where we bite more than we can chew.
And every positive minds are isolated.

I am a kin to pedagogical tribes with egocentrism.
Where dogmatic adherence to useless intuition is exalted.
And individual with logical ideologies are ostracized.
Penalized, chastised and decimated to a lowly malodorous solipsism.

This is the land where visions are crushed.
And criminals are raised in status and hierarchy.
The land of my wildest despair and despondency.
The land of the shadow where we reflect dejection and misery.

ALL AT ONCE

I wishfully wish
I could live
And also die
All at once

FRUSTRATED

Permit me to pour out my mind.
For every anger has a reason behind.
To be successful or not to be.
Has cut short the life of many like me.

I am very much frustrated.
My mental health has deteriorated.
And I have no one to spill my anguish to.
For every man has his own worries to attend to.

It is taking me much longer to reach my goal.
And I'm embittered deeply within my soul.
I don't know if I'm in a hurry to reach them.
Or to say I'm unbothered with it or too slow.

The time of my life is on the fast lane.
Running around the clock at faster pace.
I can't deduce whether I will make it in life.
Or have failures upon issues smiling up my face.

It's glaring that I'm very frustrated.

IF I HAVE TO DIE.........YOUNG.

Even if I have to die young.
I will accomplish my old age fantasies in my prime.
I will take my shot at stardom when I'm strong.
And fulfil my dreams and ambitions in time.

Even if I have to die young.
I will leave behind an indelible mark on your minds.
I will create strings of success with guitars of songs.
Playing the tune of savoury to the ears of mankind.

Even if I have to die young.
I will be the best you could ever imagine me to be.
Taking the feathers off my wings to decorate my words.
And make you squirm with delight hearing about me.

Even if I have to die young..
I will still be who I am meant to be.

MY HEART BEAT FOR YOU, OMOTENIOLA.

You are the best gift I ever had with me.
The most beautiful soul I've ever seen.
The love I have for you is stronger than steel.
Stronger than the bond between the ocean and sea.

I cherish the day I set my eyes on you.
You are the best of all beauty, no one like you.
You have being a blessing to me,my angel.
Nobody compares to you, my heavenly gospel.

My mind is enchanted with your sweet innocence.
My heartbeat for your Everytime you talk to me.
You are so dear to me that I can't resist your essence.
For you're too kind, and I'm glad you found me.

I can never love you less, my beauty.
I love you, Omoteniola Aishat Braimoh.

THE SMILE THAT WARMS THE HEART.

I have transverse the length of the whole world.
Even sail through the dark ridges of the universe.
But never before have I been short of words.
Until the day I met the moon of your smile in the darkness of my soul.

I was weak but your smile resuscitate me.
The joy I felt as the butterflies flutters in me.
Is incomparable and heart-warming,I want more.
To see the smile everytime I set my eyes on thee.

Make me lost in the wilderness of your beauty.
Release me into the spring of your fulfilment.
Let me soak in the rain of your love and affection.
For the joy of my living lies in the surreal reflection.

Of your smile that warms the heart.

For ELIAS SURRURAH ADESEWA.

THE LINE IN BETWEEN.

The race against the peer pressure has begun.
For all it's worth, many lives has been cut short.
Before they could have the chance to load their cannon.
Let alone fire a single cannonball shot.

We cross the boundaries.
To satisfy our adversaries.
Thinking we are mollifying them.
But we think much of our enemies.

Not a single thought about what we want.
Everything is all about what would they say.
We try to impress our foes more than ourselves.
And end up traumatic, blaming it on what we can't say.

A big wall exist between show off and satisfaction.
But we love the former, neglecting the latter.
A wise sage once said "Never to cross the line between good and perdition."
There is a reason we were told never to cross the line of the two factions.

Never cross the line in between.

TAKE ME HOME.

Let me die with the brave.
The ones who boldly look.
The death in the eyes and smile.
With no fear or repulsion.

Let me go with the strong.
Who defies the odd and beat.
The Grim reaper at his own game.
And choose not to die but immortalized.

Send me to the pack of warriors.
The champion of the truth.
Who would stop at nothing.
To right the wrong and injustice.

Take me home to my ancestors.
Who died in the oceans of peace.
Who believe in liberty of the fatherland.
Is better than being an independent slave.

Take me home to them.
Take me home.

LIGHT OF YOUR LOVE
Let me be the light of your love.
The centre of your emotional galaxies.
Let me awoke the feelings sleeping in you.
Let me be at the centre of all your fantasies.

Who am I to deny the love we share?
Every seconds, the burning desire in me.
Light up the axis of my heart, turning and rotating.
For the love I have is so promiscuous, yet so pure.

When do I get to taste the forbidden fruit of your affection?
That thought alone is absolutely mesmerizing.
I wish I could wake up beside you, everyday of my life.
For my love is undying, undiluted and unyielding.

Let me be the light of your love.
Let me be.
