Make me a bird.
I would fly through the blue sky
Singing the song of my weary life.
Not like the human world,
There will be lots of things to listen to my song and hear my cry.
The clouds, the trees, the air, the celestial bodies,
And the universe itself would be a part of my concert.
Would be there to listen to my cries,
Would be there to comfort me and make me fly high.

Take me away from this world
Where the daily tsunami of sufferings engulf my soul
And the cyclones of sorrow destroy me whole.

Make me a bird,
To fly away from all these swings,
From all these blames and tireful things.

To fly with freedom in this vast sky,
To fly with nothing but only delight.
To fly all the time having no hurry
Hey! See I am flying free.

O! Supreme creator of the universe,
Can you listen to me ?
Can you see what I am going through ?
Can you feel my suffering and sorrow ?
I guess you can.
O! Lord take me away from this human world,
Take me away from this sea of sorrow,
Take me, please take me to a place where there is nothing to worry about
No pain, no agony, no sufferings.
Make me a bird, a free bird,
Free to fly, free to roam,
Free to travel without any time shown.

Without a care of this dumb world
Not worrying, where I'm going,
Only happily flying.

O! God make me a bird.
Let me soar through thy vast sky,
Let me dance in the storm like a Nataraja;
Let me uproot my soul from this life of toil
And let it fly
