Giving responsibility
without giving
freedom is useless.
Getting freedom without
having responsibility
is dangerous.

Wings for a bird don't just
mean freedom to fly,
but to find twigs and grains.

When I was just a fetus, sad and
worried about going to
the outside world, the womb said,
"Don't worry, I know a girl,
who resided in me a few
years ago, so caring
and responsible,
who told me that she
would be waiting
for you outside."

ಪ್ರತಿ ಕಷ್ಟದ ಘಟ್ಟ ಕೂಡ
ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಮುಗಿದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ,
ಥೇಟು ಸಂತೋಷದ ಘಟ್ಟದ ಹಾಗೆ.

ವಿವೇಕವಿರುವುದು
ಆ ಘಟ್ಟಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ನಾವು
ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವಾಗ
ಮೊದಲನೆಯದನ್ನು
ಮರೆಯುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು
ಎರಡನೆಯದನ್ನು
ನೆನಪಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ.

Every tough phase in life
fades away, exactly like
every happy phase does.
Wisdom lies in remembering
the former and forgetting
the latter when we are
going through them.

'Have' is a wonderful possessive.

If nurtured, it becomes
'had' and turns into
REMEMBRANCE.

If neglected, it becomes
'should have' or 'could have'
and turns into REPENTANCE.

Two senses can
make this world
more beautiful:
one, while dealing with
children, remembering that
once we were children too;
two, while interacting with
elders, reminding ourselves that,
we will also become old one day.
A good stem knows the value
of its root and its fruit.

The way we respond
when someone
'mistakes our point'
or 'points out our mistake'
says a lot about
how important that
relationship is to us.

We correct only
when we connect.

It's not the dirty opaque fluid called blood that defines a relationship, it's the sweat that emerges from the pores of the loved one's skin for making efforts to keep you happy and the tears that fill their eyes after sensing your pain, that makes a relationship.

ಯಾರೂ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸದೇ
ಇದ್ದಾಗಲೂ ನಾವು
ಸರಿಯಾಗಿರಬೇಕಾದುದು
ಬಹಳ ಮುಖ್ಯ.

ಯಾರೋ ಗಮನಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು
ನಮ್ಮತನ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ತಪ್ಪು
ಮಾಡದೇ ಇರಬೇಕಾದುದು
ಇನ್ನೂ ಮುಖ್ಯ.

about being right
when no one is
watching us,
but it's also about
not doing anything
wrong to make others
watch us.
