The way we respond
when someone
'mistakes our point'
or 'points out our mistake'
says a lot about
how important that
relationship is to us.

We correct only
when we connect.

It's not the dirty opaque fluid called blood that defines a relationship, it's the sweat that emerges from the pores of the loved one's skin for making efforts to keep you happy and the tears that fill their eyes after sensing your pain, that makes a relationship.

ಯಾರೂ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸದೇ
ಇದ್ದಾಗಲೂ ನಾವು
ಸರಿಯಾಗಿರಬೇಕಾದುದು
ಬಹಳ ಮುಖ್ಯ.

ಯಾರೋ ಗಮನಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು
ನಮ್ಮತನ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ತಪ್ಪು
ಮಾಡದೇ ಇರಬೇಕಾದುದು
ಇನ್ನೂ ಮುಖ್ಯ.

when no one is
watching us,
but it's also about
not doing anything
wrong to make others
watch us.

ಒಳ್ಳೆತನದ ಎರಡು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು:
ಒಂದು, ಒಳ್ಳೆತನಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಲೆ
ಕೊಡದಿರುವುದು.
ಎರಡು, ಬೆಲೆ ಕೊಡದವರಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರಾಗಿರುವುದು.

ಒಂದನೆಯದು ತಪ್ಪು.
ಎರಡನೆಯದು ಅಪರಾಧ.

There are two problems with kindness: one, being kind to those who do not value it. Two, valuing those who are unkind.

The second one
is a mistake and
the first one is a crime.

ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರಾಗಿರಬೇಕೆಂಬುದು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಒಳ್ಳೆತನ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಕ್ರೌರ್ಯಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಅಪಾಯಕಾರಿ.

If you are incapable of
judging who deserves
your kindness,
it is more harmful than
cruelty of the wicked.

They erased the vermilion from
the foreheads of our women
shedding the blood of our men!
We adorned the bareforeheads of their women with the blood of their men!
What a civilized barter!

It's strange that the same world that brands a child as a slow learner for not learning basics in school in just a couple of years, calls the man wise, dharmik, imam even after not learning love, peace and co-living even after thousands of years of their religions' existence and preaching.
