प्रिय गणो बाप्पा,
पहाड़ से ऊंचा मेरा यक़ीन है तुझ पर।
आई और गई तूफानें कई,
मगर विश्वास न डगमगाया कभी मेरा।
अटूट भरोसा है तुझ पर, बाप्पा
जिसको तोड़ने की कोशिश की है लोगों ने कई बार
असफल हुए है सारे के सारे हमेशा।
बाप्पा, दुःख हर ले ऐसे नहीं कहती मैं
बस दुःख को सहने की शक्ति देने की कामना करती हूँ।

ठहराव के साथ साथ
स्थिरता भी बेहद ज़रूरी है।
लोग आते जाते रहते है
और बहता रहता है जीवन।

बादलों की अनोखी कहानी है हर रोज़
आसमान में उड़ते परिंदे है गवाह।
हवा का झोंका ले जाता है
अफवाहें अपने साथ हर जगह
जिन्हें हम बस वायु समझते हैं
वो असल में बादलों की कहानी हैं।

मेरा और मेरे जज़्बातों का
मैं तमस में उगने वाली कली हूँ
और अज्ञान में ही भली हूँ।

रात दुलार करती है
मेरा और मेरे अनकहे अल्फ़ाज़
फुसफुसाते हैं अंधियारे से हर रात।

Under the carpet of plastics,
the sea weeps day by day.
On the shore I find wrappers everywhere
and straws struck out of every whale.
Turtles cannot breathe in the air
for their noses are blocked by waste.
I wonder why nature is so patient
all we humans deserve is immense pain
for punishing nature and her voiceless children
in the name of urbanization and change.

हां शायद घर को घर न बोलकर
मकान बोलना गलत हो सकता है।

रत्ती भर भी फ़र्क ही नहीं पड़ता
तो ऐसे लोगों के बीच रहने का कोई
मतलब हो ही नहीं सकता कभी।
