I remember the day when I was crying ,
Rolling on the bed in pain,
Never thought I would get up again...
I closed my eyes for a moment,
Then I looked at them straight in the eyes...
My father's eyes got wider,
And my mother's became red...
They were not shedding tears,
But were terribly crying inside...
The pain that I was suffering,
They wished to take away.
I could feel the pain they were hiding,
Deeply shattered from inside
Yet didn't stop giving me hope...
I could listen to their countless prayers,
Lying on their peaceful laps...
I closed my eyes again,
Not willing to see their pain anymore...
The next time I opened my eyes,
I could see myself standing strong,
My parents on both my sides,
I could move forward,
Holding their strong arms...
I could see a smile on their faces,
Day by day, getting broader...
They were so calm,
I could see a bright ray of hope,
A silver lining in our days of clouds...
I could sense a positive aura,
Felt happier and healthier each day
With their constant love & care,
The pain was becoming bearable,
And slowly it vanished into thin air...
