Sentiments are selfish,

Your words may not ask for a
returned affection that you have invested,

But your feelings do seek for validation and reciprocation.

I wonder how badly you must have been hurt,

That the things you used to call "God's Plan" are not just a "Series of Coincidences" for you.

I may fake a smile
But trust me,
A ton of emotional trauma
Will be running inside me.
