A desire to fly high,
as I stretched my wings,
I was tempted to measure the vast sky.
My flight was cut apart,
but, I fought, never to stop with flames in my heart.
They judged and jeered.
I wonder, had they put on my shoes,
would they have been able to walk that briskly?
At times, I did fall,
yet, every time I stood tall.
Fighting with every tool and nail,
now, as I sit and watch my life,
a shimmer of hope begins its sail.
This struggle which started with no strategy,
to survive yet another day,
has now become almost a prodigy.
