तुम सा कौन कहाँ
बस ज़िक्र तुम्हारा अब महफ़िल में
यादें तुम्हारी तनह दिल में
अब हमारे बीच की दूरियाँ सारी
तुम्हारे इस चिलमन से
किससे भी तुम्हारे सुनाये अंजुमन में
बस यादें और सपने सारे इस मन में
वो ख़ुशबू और कहाँ कहीं जो तुम्हारे तन बदन में
फिर मिलेंगे शायद जो उसने चाहा तो
इस जनम नहीं तो किसी और जनम में
अगली बार शायद रूप में सनम के
अग़ोशियों में मेरे बदन के ।

Some taste sweet
Some leave us sore
A lot to adore
Yet room for loathe
Some doors are left ajar
Some are closed
Still you need to knock
Rather than further putting up a lock
Something leaves you in awe
And something could shock you
Might hit you hard like a bedrock
Everything is not meant to run like a clock
The hindrances are inevitable
But you need to be stable
Adaptablity gives the freedom
To fly even through the odds
Penalties and awards
All are the ultimate rewards
For the reminders and learnings
All of the fortune that comes your way
Are a result of dedication and yearnings
Who can sustain an pertain through the finish line is the ultimate winner

देखते हैं जो तुमको कभी
मोह लेती है तुम्हारी जेहानत
फिर डर लगता है कि दिल हो ना आहत
मन भी देता है यही सलाहियत
जाने क्यों है सब की यही हिदायत
फिर भी क्यों तुम्हारी तरफ़ खिंचा जाता हूँ
हर बार तुम को अपने आस-पास ही पाता हूँ
यूँ तो किसी चीज़ से महरूम नहीं ज़िंदगी
फिर भी तुम बन गई हो मेरी बंदगी
यह खूबसूरत मंजर है या फिर
मेरी आँखों का धोखा
तू ऐसी ही है या
इतनी भी मासूम नहीं
या फिर तुझे भी मालूम नहीं
तन्हाई ही दोस्त है मेरी
अब लोगों का हुजूम नहीं
अज़मत की तलाश नहीं
ज़हमत में अब कोई साथ नहीं
यूँ तो ये भी कोई नयी बात नहीं
मगर अब उतनी काली भी रात नहीं
हाँ अब इतनी मुलाक़ात नहीं
ज़िंदगी भी कुछ बेगानी सी है
मगर ऐसा नहीं कि हैरानी सी है
बस अब तो कुछ ऐसी ही कहानी सी है
अब तो यह सब जताने में भी
लगती काफ़ी आसानी सी है
शायद मेरे शब्दों में कुछ ऐसी रवानी सी है ।

तेरी वो अदाएं
यह मौसम की सदाएँ
तेरी वो वफ़ाएँ
जैसे कल ही बीता हो यह सब
मगर बस यह यादें हैं अब
क्या पता फिर कि रास्ते पर
कहा टकराएँगे तुमसे अब
मंज़िलें तो अलग है हमारी
क्या पता किस की खता थी यह
मेरी या तुम्हारी
पूरी तरह से होना अब तुम जिस की भी हो
बेवफ़ाई का तोहफ़ा उसको मत देना यूँ
जैसे तुमने मुझ खुशनसीब को दिया
क्या वो तुम्हारी आहों को जानता है
दर्द भारी साँहों को पहचानता है
क्या वो भी तुमको मेरे जैसे ही
बिन तुम्हारे कहे पढ़ लेता है
क्या वो भी तुम्हारे लफ़्ज़ों में छुपे झूठ
और मन के सच को पढ़ लेता है
क्या वो भी तुम्हारे चेहरे की
सिलवटों को देख पाता है
क्या वो भी तुम्हारी
रब से की गई मिन्नतों को सुन और समझ पाता है
क्या उसको भी तुमको यूँ हसाना आता है
जब कभी रो जाओ तुम तो
क्या उसको तुम्हें चुप कराना आता है
और जो कभी हो गुमसुम तुम
क्या उसको तुम्हें हसाना आता है ?

खामोशी में जो छुपी आहटें हैं
यही इनका शोर है
यूँ तो इन पर भी थोड़ा तो तेरा ज़ोर है
मगर इनके और भी स्रोत हैं
तू जो ख़ामोश है फिर भी
कहीं तो तुझमें अब भी शोर है
कुछ ऐसा है वार इस खामोशी का
सरगोशी भी छिपी है खामोशी में
या फिर जैसे गुम हो कोई ख़ानाबदोशी में
कहीं अपने ही आलम में
इस संसार की रीतों से दूर कहीं
अपने ही धुन में
या फिर खोया हो जैसे कोई
किसी चिंतन में
कुछ ऐसा इस खामोशी का असर है
तुझे नहीं मालूम मगर
तेरे पास ही कहीं इसका बसर है
इतने शोर में भी कहीं तो छुपी
इसकी भी मौजूदगी है
कुछ ऐसी ही बस इनकी
अपनी पहचान है
यूँ तो ना होकर भी
यह वहीं कहीं आस पास है |

Hey, what’s cranklin you up
If not anything then, find something that crankles you up
Irritates you enough to make it better
Otherwise what’s the progress that you made in this lifespan
Other than getting an year older on each 365th day
You are just not worthy of this life
If you can’t infuse this energy
In form of blood and well earned sweat
Let yourself ache a bit atleast if not more
Because all of it will be worth
When you look back at it some day
Won’t happen instantly
But the hard part here is to keep pushing yourself and don’t give up
The thought of giving up will fade away
The day it fades away will be the day when
You will win the biggest battle of this war
Then just don’t yourself dwindle
Keep the passion alive
Rest will feel like a cakewalk
Oh! darling and then you can look back and smile
Because at the end you will know
All that you have sacrificed will be worthwhile

इस सैलाब के बीच
जो अब तू है बीच मजधार में
फड़फड़ाता हुआ सा बस
तुझमें ठहराव कहाँ मल्हार सा
इस पल में जो जीवन तू चाहता है
कब की तूने कद्र उसकी इस संसार में
इसलिए यह घड़ी है तेरे संहार की
भूख है तुझे बस अहंकार की
ज़रूरत नहीं तुझे आहार की
तुझमें भावना कहाँ आभार की
ना इच्छा तेरी सहकार की
ना कल्पना तुझे किसी के सत्कार की
क्यूँकि तुझमें अभाव है
कुछ संस्कार का
बाक़ी नहीं है तुझमें संयम
इस दुश्वारी में
तू धैर्यवान नहीं
तुझमें सब्र नहीं आने के आहान का
फिर तू पूछता है बस की
यह ज़िंदगी आसान कहाँ ?

In this hot summer
Oh! sadly they can’t
That’s a bummer
But they come as fresh as
One waking up from a deep slumber
They are lost in plethora of words
Exploring this sea to greater depths
Some focused upon the stardards
And some just on the numbers
Some readers for understanding crumble it down
And a few just snub it away
But these creations ain’t brittling
Despite all the attempts
They just retaliate harder every time to stand up again

एक फलदार वृक्ष
मगर उसकी यह झुकती हुई डालियाँ
यह कमजोर टहनियाँ
दर्द में कुछ कह रहीं
भार यह पेड़ का अब भी सह रहीं
ना कोई स्याही से जता पा रहा है
ना ही कोई अपने बोलों से बता पा रहा
जो इनकी पीड़ा है
ना कोई शुक्रगुज़ार इनका
फिर भी यह बेज़ार नहीं
बस रोज़ काट देते है जाने कितनों को
यह जानते हुए की ये बेशुमार नहीं
प्रकर्ति के अपने नियम हैं
आज भले गुलज़ार हो
मगर कल क्या पता फिर इनका संहार हो
और यह इन पर आख़िरी वार हो

Just not settling down
It’s all jittery nerves
In this clamant hour
The severity of circumstance
Has faded away as the excitement took over
The sky is blue within this moment
But another day it could all be torment
After being at the peak of success
You could feel to be a bit dormant
And that could bring you crashing down to that old dusty door mat
Where despite all the hustle
It still could be a never ending struggle
