The Barrel of Life

A cup of coffee it is, getting colder
until the next one it is, he assumes,
As a shadow splits over his shoulder,
another round of roulette resumes

Gun to his head and dreams in sight
The scales were in place but the artist won.
Why did he cave in without a fight?
It was the barrel of life on a smoking gun

The Observer

I pass along all the rivers that dissect my bare skin,
I glide over all the winds that flame the forests.
I float above the tremors that shake my core.
I am indeed the observer, but is there more?

I see through his eyes, but I am not there.
We are all observers of an untold story.
Your limbs are not yours yet freedom you bear.
Could it be that you are just a distant voyeur?

Or maybe there are middle grounds,
between will and bounds.
And fate indeed is a bystander
but it has chosen you as it’s commander.

स्याही की लकीर पर पूरा तेरा धन है,
कागज़ का सहारा है, जीवन तेरा भ्रम है।

रोज का यह रास्ता लकीर पे लकीर है,
शरीर तेरा नापता, रूह तो फकीर है।

मिट्टी गीली तेरे सामने है,
अपनी छाप से मिलादे तू।
हां एक राज़ अब अंजाम में है
पर उस एहसास को भुलादे तू।

Ambivalence and Democracy

There's nothing wrong in being undecided about major steps in life because ambivalence can be a sign of an ongoing 'internal' debate while commitment and abrupt decisiveness could result from ignoring some of your own feelings and valid doubts.

Hence, being undecided in tough situations is like running a democratically elected legislative assembly's debate in your mind to find the best possible solution, while jumping to a quick decision is equivalent to allowing a thought or a feeling to stage a 'coup' and launch dictatorship!

There can be winners and losers in a structured game designed to test specific learned skillsets but how can there be winners and losers in what can only be described as a brownian motion of individuals in a stream called life.
