The year 2020 was difficult at so many levels
Just when I thought, what could possibly be worse
2021 was a new ball game
It's been two years of losing
Losing people
Losing relationships
Losing focus
Losing sanity
Enough is enough
Holding the reins of my life
I can't succumb to this
I will be the phoenix
Rise from my ashes
And build my new home

It was too late
By then you were gone
Vanished in thin air
I still think of you
Hoping you would come back
I can cross the seas and climb the mountains
Just to see your smile again
Oh I wish to be omnipotent
To get you back from that maze
From which you gaze
Looking down upon us

I am in that stage of life where I only want meaningful relationships
There is no room for betrayal, lies, taking advantage of situations and pretence
I want a good healthy conversation with no intention of knowing or following another's life
I am building my space to remain happy, silent and safe with myself
Venturing into a life where all that I have left behind is gone
I have closed the chapters of my past
I will no longer open them in my present and future
I am building my space to work on me, my mental health and my peace
