The first time I went to the railway station in 1963. My parents took me with them to Kuala Lumpur from Butterworth. Upon reaching Kuala Lumpur, my cousin who is much older than me, asked me "Rupa, what happened to the tyres of the train." I looked at it for the first time and told him, 'Bhai, I think the train only has wheel, not tyre because it moves on the iron track.' He laughed, ruffling my hair and said, 'I'll, get you a bar of chocolate, you're smart.'
I'll still wonder why he asked me that question. At that moment it didn't trigger me for I was interested in the chocolate.
