Some of us have those special things
Still kept unused by us,
Love or curiosity might have
Bought them.
Yet they are not used.
But kept covered neatly in their newly wrapper ,
And occasionally unwrapping it
Slowly sliding our fingers over them,
Feeling the undefiled surface,
Checking the 'newly bought smell'
And then again wrapping them
Keeping it safely in that special box
Admiring With a proud face..
Not able to decipher the reason or the meaning of such 'kept' things
But Still wondering when to use it
Or its already acquired space in our lives..???!!!!...

Unused name

If only I can call out that name where,
in time I can hear the response.
A name that was jotted down
between layers of overlapping feelings.
Like a glass fixed between windowpane
that someway makes me forget that there's glass.
So transparent that I can see through without puncture!
Reaching out to the other side just to get blocked by it.
A name so lucid that got stuck in my tongue
emitting nothing when I try to say it.
Running out like a timer of validity
with memories as evidence that I know such a name.
A name that goes with the face of remembrance
that had disappeared away with each passing day.

Feeling unwanted?
Like the unopened room in a haunted house,
Like an unread book in the corner of a shelf,
Like an unseen saved video in FB,
Like a third wheel in a conversation,
Like the unused contacts in our phones,
Like the unworn pair of clothes in our cupboard,
Sometimes, we too should wait for our turn.
