माना गंगा मैली है,
फिर तुम कैसे पाक हुए,
सपने गंगा के ही क्यों,
जल भुंज कर यूँ खाक हुए ।
क्या बिगाड़ लेगी वो गंगा,
उसका वजूद तो पानी है,
पर याद रखना तुम ये भी,
उसका क्रोध सुनामी है ।
मानो या ना मानो एक दिन,
गंगा को मैली होना है,
सारी दुनिया के पापियों का,
सामुहिक पाप जो ढ़ोना है ।
तुम पाक रहो, तुम साफ रहो,
रित है जो गंगा को वही निभानी है
अब भी अपनी जरूरत के लिए ही
गंगा तुम्हे बचानी है।
तुम खुद जीवन दायिनी फिर,
अपना जीवन क्यों मांग रही,
हर बार क्यों मेरी तरफ,
मदद के लिए गुहार रही ।
खुद सूरज होकर भी तुमको,
चाहत क्यों लौ से लगानी है,
क्या सचमुच भूल गई तुम,
यहाँ सबकी सोच पुरानी है ।

कभी सीमाओं को नहीं माना
और ना ही कभी बाध्य हुई हूँ
