When she is full I am ravenous and insatiable.
When she is absent I am somber and reflective.
It lures my soul like a lover's undertow.
Never enough when she's there, missing her fiercely when she's gone.

Set loose into space
She rode her comet around the Moon
Then catapulted to a place
Where angels flew in blue lagoons.
Inside down and upside out
She cast away all her self doubt
Then turned her comet to the sun
And flew right passed everyone.

Twinkle at night,
the final beacon
of light
Before the sunrise
Who shown brighter
than any sun could.
For she remained with me
Thru the dark hours
When nothing else would.

In the midnight hour
insomnia stirs the mind
of my faraway Beloved.
Fixated on a fleeting memory
the illusion of time folds
into an enigmatic dreamscape.
From whence Thee and Me
Summon the Stars
Into each other's arms.
