cutting through thousands of
swords, drawn,
taming the untamed.

pierced by smallest of thorns
of tiniest of roses
colored in your name.

A day in April 2011:

I just got done with my 12th class Boards and told my parents about my desire to give CDS exam. It shook everyone in my home. Being the only son, no one had expected this in any case. I was made to have a conversation with my elder cousin who was a major back then in Indian Army. He asked me to try to come as an engineer in Army but I was adamant to come in as a combatant. No second measures. When asked why, my answer was "to protect my people". But that was one day I remember I held back the most amount of tears I've known in me. I'm a victim, a patient of flat foot which was alone enough to disqualify me in physical fitness tests even if I clear the written exam.

I have been an Army fan and an Army aspirant with a dream to operate a sniper in Nation's interest someday. It doesn't seem to be happening ever for all valid reasons.
But this all went in front of my eyes like a flashback and I caught myself in a situation where I was just sitting clueless of what I can do. Because I can literally do nothing about it anymore except for being a good civilian.

If only.....

The swords have cut so many pencils...
But couldn't erase it's single mark....

She chose words,
they chose swords.

Both were in newspaper,
one was a Martyr,
other criminals.

Sometimes we unknowingly
cut ourselves too deep
with the swords made of
our own thoughts

Words are powerful than swords
each word can pin you down and
hurt so badly that even your wounds
will become worse with time because
it is the only weapon which doesn't give
you visible wounds but a wound which
is worth remembering all your life.

These days fights are different
Tongues haves replaced swords
And instead of the body
The soul gets scarred

Whether True or False
Few words are
Sharp as sword
Yet coated with sugar
You have to take it
As a pinch of salt.

Your swords
are no match
to the dagger
of my eyes.
One look and
hell is
ready to bow,
to witness my rise.

Sometime swords are seen in the guise of dignity, status, name and fame stabbing people so bad.
