Dude, credit where it's due. It's time to change the mindset. Let's break the stereotype that's unnecessarily holding us back. When your girlfriend left you, it might have spurred you on to write one sad poem or even a tragic love story. But honestly it takes a lot to write well, and write well on a continuous basis. If you can do that more often than not, it's because you always had that potential.
