If only your transformation
could occur through wishful thinking;
thoughts are powerful
but you require more than just an inkling.
Your thoughts ought to be specific
about what you want to do,
and then you have to put in the work
to attain the new you.
And that goes for everything
but right now what is specifically on my mind,
is the alchemical work
to open your eye that is esoterically blind.
Spiritual discipline
and a program of purification
is what you require
if your goal is your soul's transformation.

Purifying your soul
is not a one time event -
there's much preparation
before your spiritual ascent.
There literally has to be
alchemical changes within you;
that typically won't occur
if you're unwilling to continue -
to do the right thing
each time you have to choose;
just remind yourself
that you have a lot to lose.
All of your progress
can slip through your fingers;
way after the deed
the effect often lingers.
You can continue the same cycle
but you know how sick it makes you;
you usually do recover
but what if it finally breaks you?

Although it might be difficult right now, you've made it through difficult times before. You will make it through this too.

In the matter of spiritual progress
I don't want a participation award.
I need to successfully excel
and ascend to meet and prostrate to the Lord.
You can call Him Messiah, Qāʾim or Resurrector -
Christ, right now I am not talking about His identity.
What I am currently focusing on at the moment
is whether or not I'm a worthy spiritual entity.
I know it mostly depends on the Lord's grace
but I must also do whatever is expected.
Those who strive until they sacrifice their lives
are the ones who are spiritually resurrected.
Like I already said earlier,
I'm not in it for a participation certificate.
Though of course I am willing to admit
there's also honor for those who simply did stick with it.
But, and I say this with utmost humility,
my soul craves for more than an honorable mention.
I know there's no way my soul will be satisfied
til I merge with my Lord through spiritual ascension.
