I lay asleep in the streets, a vagabond
No blanket to shield me from the cold
Against the backdrop of a hill
A kind lady spares me some food
This is a lonely street, other lives unseen
The night staggers on
And with the morning sun,
I put on my ascetic robe,
In wisdom, pursuing my solitary path.
