आज उनसे मिले तो पास आने के लिए,
मग़र गले भी लगे तो दूर जाने के लिए।

नजरें मिली तो रगों में लहर दौड़ पड़ी,
क़रीब हो कर भी चुप रहें हर्फ़ बचाने के लिए।

चाहत कि इक बोसा उसके माथे पर रखूं,
पर लब चूम ना सका एहसास दबाने के लिए।

आज भी ये दिल उन आहटों पर जोर से धड़कता है,
हमनें रफ़्तार कम कर ली है ख़बर छिपाने के लिए।

इश्क़ ऐसी की दिल उसके दीदार से झूम उठे,
दिल चाहता है पर मानता नहीं जताने के लिए।
