               A QUAINT SOLITUDE

Rings in the time of celebration and revelry,
And the city dances to the festive tunes,
A souk in the old city decks up to enthral the shopaholics,

A vagrancy of a roofless torrid
Spilling its own verdant-maybe,
The sight of quaint
And the inexperienced raking
Into the abundant tropics,
She will know what suffocates or not see the blossom.

The day I heard
Her peaceful dawn whispering
To the quaint dusk of my life,
I fell for her. It wasn't chaotic at all, in fact,
The most serene of the moments.
The way, the solace she bears
Enamoured and captivated me
Was something, oh so ethereal,
Never felt before, and now
All I could do is
Bask in her peace, perhaps
Till the eternity and beyond.

The intrusion of long
periods without sound
in summer afternoon.

An urge to speak but
an inability to feel 
much of anything.
