The slithering, forked tongue stays hypnotic.
The hissing serpent seems, ready, to pounce.
My heart, shuddering; yet, determined,
To oust the deceiver--to drive him away.
"Leave my home!" I, dare, command him.
"Leave me in peace!" I proclaim.
He stares at me; a grin, dripping,
From his poisoned fangs.
