mountain knocks
on my conscience.

"What is it?"
my droopy eyes plead.

it declares, softly.

And so I obey;
Distorting each of
it's treasures.

Scribbling away
yet another poem.

When Gods Plunder

Sunrises and sunsets past, the gods came to our world. Gold and silver chariots they rode, scorched the ground where they touched.

We were children to them and are shooed away. We watch afar, giants created to reap our seas and land.

The gods left. Our home barren and lifeless. Dust is our fate.
