I cannot have,

my characters,
at least, can
drink to
each other,
feeding on faith,
to vicariously
nourish me

I say:

"That's so easy to
proclaim when
it isn't you that's
left and drowning.

It is facile to say
things; as if to
simply sweep aside
someone else's
pain--

Not realizing
that when that's
you who's left,
it might seem
like the end
of this realm."

इश्क लफ़्ज़ों में ढाल देने से नज़रों में नहीं ढलता
दिल का इरादा हो यहां दिमाग से कुछ नहीं चलता
कहते हैं इश्क दिल में है तभी तो लफ़्ज़ों में आया हैं
सच का पैमाना तो नहीं पर आग कहने से मुंह नहीं जलता
