मेरी नज़र को राहत ज़रा सी यूँ मयस्सर हो जाए,
दो पल को ही सही एक मुलाक़ात मुक़र्रर हो जाए।

कतरा कतरा तिनका तिनका खो चले हैं हम ख़ुद को,
हाथ थाम लो जो मेरा दरिया भी समंदर हो जाए।

बेरहम सी सुबहों शाम तुम्हारे बिन थी कई गुज़ारी,
बेपर्दा कुछ यूँ करना कि रातें भी मुनव्वर हो जाए।

जिस्म से ज़्यादा रूह को मेरी छू कर तुम अपना लेना,
सितम-ग़रों की महफ़िल में कोई तो रफ़ू-ग़र हो जाए।

बेज़ार इस ज़िंदगी में भी कुल सौ परतें हैं ज़ख़्मों की,
बस हसरत है बाहों में तेरी हर दर्द बराबर हो जाए।

मशरुफ़ियत से अब तो कुछ लम्हे चुरा लो फ़ुरसत के,
कभी तो इस वीराने में आतिश का मंज़र हो जाए।

I write because-
I can't speak it out.
No one shall heed, except
my pen and I. It would be a conversation with the blank paper.
It makes my heart hover in peace.
I want to freeze those words instead of letting them vaporise in the air.
