उस से कहना के आज कल उसकी याद आना कम होती जा रही है ,
लगता है कि वक़्त के साथ-साथ मेरी आदते भी सुधरती जा रही है ।।

आज गए हुए तुम्हे पूरे 1 साल हो गए
हा, बहुत कुछ वक़्त के साथ बदल भी गया है
तेरा नया सफर, हमसफ़र भी नया है तेरा
तू खुश भी है अपनी दुनिया में और ये सच भी है..
बस एक मैं हूं जो आज भी कहीं ना कहीं उन्हीं पुरानी यादों में कैद हू..
पर अब रोना धोना नहीं होता है।
पर एक अधूरी ख्वाहिश, अधूरा इश्क़ लिए बैठा हूं.
मेरी दोस्ती कलम से हो गई है,दिन रात बाते करता हूं..कोई ना कोई बहाना रख तुझे ही याद करता हूं।।
अब उम्मीद मेरी टूट चुकी है, लफ्ज़ भी लड़खड़ाने लगे है, मानो मेरी चाहत का बुढ़ापा आ गया है और वो अब अकेली किसी बूढ़ी औरत की तरह रह रही है।
उसे एक आस है..इंतज़ार है कि एक दिन उसे उसका वजूद मिलेगा।।
पर ये झूठी आस कभी मुकम्मल नहीं होती।
मैं वैसे तो खुश हूं पर बदल गया हूं
नकाब लगाए घूमता रहता हूं,
किसी से कुछ नहीं कहता पर आज भी
इश्क़ में जलता रहता हूं।।

दो दिन से मे खुदका ही
नाटक देख रहीं हू....
जितनि भी कोशिश करू
लेकिन जल्दी नहीं उठ पा रही हू...
रात को जल्दी निंद नहीं आती...
और सुबह जल्दी
आंखें नहीं खुलती...
पता नहीं क्या परेशानी हे मेरी...
लेकिन सुबह भी मे
निंद मे होती हू गहरी...

Today, I wake up early in the morning, after a long time. Maybe few months. As I sip my brew my coffee, it's aroma tingles my taste buds. Rusty. Warm. Sweet. I hear the sounds of Azaan from the nearby mosque, and unlike anyone else, it doesn't affect me. Instead, it gives me a feeling of nostalgia. Nostalgia, of the time when waking up early was no less than a torture. It was the time when school hadn't ended. I would wake up and while the coffee brewed, I heard sound of azaan everyday. It was routine, broken and now revived.

I see my boring uniform on which I proudly wore my coat, feeling like a professional. But then I remember, those times are gone, and I must move on. So instead, I slip into bed again. And dream.
