I'm tired of hiding behind my expansive privilege; it reminds me, throughout, of the times I've maintained silence when I should have spoken out against patriarchy's inherent violence. And unless I speak truth to power (my own), unless the extent of the malaise is known, I can never truly honour any commitment to fight the disbalance that stems from my sex-given right to get what I want and do as I please. It is time for attention; I'll no longer stand at ease.
