Your crooked ill groomed nails, tell me tales of your anxiety. I've seen your hair less messier than your life at times. I have also seen the crescents more than the flattened plains of your lips , no matter how harsh the weather might have been to you. Your thoughts most of the times are mitochondria. While few instances they are parasitic, feeding and sucking out the little courage when you had to do new things. Nevermind, you are the one who laughs at me before life itself mocks. Like a frenemy letting me fall, learn and grow. I'm not bragging. But, I shall write to you more often, so that you know how imperfectly adorable you are which you're unaware of.

Dear past me,

You are 7 months 26 days younger than me. It's past midnight and you are sitting alone in your dark room scrolling down your instafeed thinking whether to send her "Hiii" or not. Fighting with yourself.

Everything is going to change from now. Your sleepy days are soon going to over. All you will get is sleepless nights and restless days. Your cynical pessimistic approach will change to optimism even when there is no hope. You will feel butterflies in your stomach from now on. You are going to break rules which you once set up for ownself. You are going to see your home in someone else's eyes.

But there are few more thing you need to know. Soon everything is going to be over. Soon you will crumble in pain. Soon you will drown in your own memories. Soon the sound of your heartbeat will not let you sleep at night. Soon you will feel lonely in the crowd. Soon you will want to scream your lungs out but you have to put on a smile.

So now you must be thinking why to send her that "Hiii" then. Yes brother there are 100 reasons not to send her that "Hiii". But all this pain is nothing when you will see her smile. So go ahead and send that "Hiii" brother.

To all the tears I've ever shed,

I don't regret you; I never did and if I ever have, I'm really sorry. Thank you for being there in every overwhelming situation; be it happy or sad. You're one of the most important source of my expression. I don't even know what I am without you.
Every single person I've come across in my life has said, "You should not cry so much! " I once tried to be less sensitive but soon realised that's not me. I never again tried to hold back my emotions.
I learnt to embrace you wholeheartedly. I've now learnt to cry and not regret it. No matter what people say but you have a big hand in making me strong. I might cry easily but I don't get broken or helpless easily. I see people faking smile everyday and I've promised myself to smile genuinely everytime I smile.
Unlike others I don't want to fake smile and stay sad inside; I cry and get over with whatever hurts. Call it innocence or immaturity but I'm at peace and this is the key.

You're with me not only in sad situations but in happy ones too. I smile genuinely because I've embraced you instead of hating or ignoring you..!
