The Unaltered 💙
The Elusion :
Having been escaped from the heinous trap, we all were quite mellifluous about the further steps to be taken. There was a major sigh of relief for all of us, as we finally were free. Departing from Govind Kaka was another setback for all of us, as he had a family behind to take care; and he didn't want to be indulged in a situation as such. Not forcing him to accompany us further, I bid a goodbye to him. Being happy about getting out from the trap, sadness somewhere enrolled itself upon us.
A sudden noise of people shouting and calling for some others, startled us. Taking a step back to reach out for the source, turned our astonishment to fear. Shit! They were the same kidnappers who kept us alive in the deathly hallow. Already being behind a bullock cart, we started to find a place as to hide ourselves. Govind Kaka carried a shawl which he offered us, to put it over and pretend as to sleep while the kidnappers came closer. I offered it to Imran and Bhola, as they were the youngest and maybe they were the only ones who could have fit into that shawl. They lied down on the cart, and putting the shawl over, they slept. Meanwhile me and Aasma decided to hide ourselves behind the 'Chaarpai' standing tall near the hut, which was crowded with a lot of people as they were celebrating some festival. It seemed that way.
It was in no time when our sleeps got shattered and we were awake by the noise of the motors around. Me and Aasma were lying near the hut and it seemed Bhola and Imran were still asleep over the cart with the shawl still on. A number of people slept there on the courtyard of the hut. It seemed everyone was drunk a little more the last night. It was evident from the scenes that the kidnappers failed to succeed in finding us and went away. There seemed no traces of Govind Kaka too. It was all and all a good morning for us, and maybe a new rise of a hope in our lives. Having decided to walk some more, to finally get some help, as this area didn't seem safe to me; I woke both the kids up from the cart. The shawl was still with them, as Govind kaka had left it with us.
Rising fresh from a beautiful sleep, we were active enough to walk some more miles for our lives. For our families. Putting on our Chappals and washing our faces from the nearby well, we the little chipmunks started our journey of freedom.
Some elusions when necessary are beautiful, and some, life saving. This one seemed to be the latter one for all of us. Starting this journey towards some help seeking is what this journey is going to show its colours in. So, how early can these small kids get a help to reach their homes? Will they actually get it or will be caught by the kidnappers before that? Where's the direction to safety? Who'll help such small kids? Where are they heading to? Where's the ugly briefcase? To get these all secrets revealed, all I can say is, stay tuned!
I'm extremely sorry readers! The reasons are many, but the main is my mumma's health not being good, and there's no much silence to this soul to pen down the further parts. I'll make sure that the next part is delivered faster than all others. I know the essence of the story is somehow degrading with the passage of time, but as the story progresses, I'll make sure to keep you all engaged. Till then, keep reading and stay tuned with #TheUnaltered. ❤
