I value the people I have in my life, not only because I need them, also because I have seen people craving for the connections God has blessed me with. I have seen people longing to hear their mother's voice, I have seen people waiting their whole lives for their fathers to come home. I have seen people searching for their brother's smile among the old family photos. I have seen people yearning for their sister's love. I have lived in a conflict zone for more than two decades now, and I understand the importance of family, friends, relationships, belongingness, and I appreciate all of these things. Because, it's not necessary to learn the value of things only when you lose them. We can treasure them while we have them. That's what I think, that's what I feel, that's what I believe, and that's what I try to follow in my life.
