CITY BY THE SIDE OF A RIVER (love story)

Some relations are like Rivers flowing through the City.

I was buzzy, captivating and intricately wise like the city evenings and you were serene, soothing and storehouse of knowledge like the river waters. We met just like the river meets the city at the banks. The lighted, dazzling and glimmering river banks, filled with gleaming diyas, hopeful devotees, noisy sellers, playful children, day-dreaming youths, all draw attention of even the most diligent of readers. The river and the city mellowed mellifluously into each other at the banks- passionately kissing, getting painted into each other's colour, drawing fragrance from the beloved, holding each other with fingers entangled.

But,the city is grounded, firm and stationary. Whereas the river waters are transient, continuously moving ahead from one spot to another, changing its flow- at times voluminous or limited; speed- sometimes swift or gradual; path- straight or meandering, from season to season.

The river can meet the city at the banks but can't stop there for long. The city Constantly Waits for the river to Satiate its Thirst by draining its banks.

I ended up drowning in my self proclaimed reality..
Reality with expectations,
Reality with promises,
Reality with a trust,
Reality that I ever wanted!
All was just self confessed.. ended like a drought in a sea.. dreams like blood sucking by a flea

Expectations that meant to be fulfil.. sinks in a bog.
Promises that were sweets of life.. ended like the sweetest lies.
And the trust that was already broken in pieces..flew away like the dust itself.
All remain is a stucked body with a heavy mind and a painless soul!
