सत्यस्य वचनं श्रेयः सत्यादपि हितं वदेत्।
यद्भूतहितमत्यन्तं एतत् सत्यं मतं मम्।। 

[ यद्यपि सत्य वचन बोलना श्रेयस्कर है तथापि उस सत्य को ही बोलना चाहिए जिससे सर्वजन का कल्याण हो। मेरे विचार से तो जो बात सभी का कल्याण करती है वही सत्य है। ]
