demon in disguise.

I say "I'm a feminist"
And you laugh
Because "Women have rights already"
And while you laugh at this moment
You're laughing at the 15 million girls
who will become child brides this year alone,
You're laughing at the millions of young girls
sold into gender slavery
And at the 70% of women in India
who are victims of domestic violence
And at the one in five rape victims
in the United states
And at all of the people in the world
who are discriminated against
Because of something
as simple as their gender.

When your entire life fills with darkness,
suddenly someone you see in your life holding a burning candle,
you start to see light in the darkness of your life, and you tend to imagine them as your angel who has come to save you, but as you approach the light with devotion and love for them,
as you get close to the light, suddenly the candle will be blown off,
and you will come to know that it was the demon holding the light to attract you towards it and take you to hell.
