जब तुम्हें अपने नये घर के
बेडरूम का टेबल लैंप लेना
इतना आवश्यक लगने लगे कि
तुम आधे दिन उसी को ढूँढने में बिता दो,
तब समझ जाना कि तुम्हें
जानलेवा बीमारी, 'उपभोक्तावाद' ने
कसकर जकड़ लिया है,
इसके इलाज के लिए ढूँढना आस-पड़ोस में
कोई बच्चा जो नहीं कर पा रहा हो
आॅनलाइन क्लास,
और दिला देना उसे
एक सस्ता सा ही सही
लेकिन उसकी पढ़ाई का एकमात्र साधन,
एक मोबाइल।
क्या कहा?
नहीं दिखता तुम्हें कोई भी ऐसा बच्चा?
शायद तुम्हारी बीमारी लाइलाज है।

While the blue planet pays heavily for it.

We may never fill our eyes
with the visions of beauty,

were so many narcissist born

Media and society colludes to create symbols and images of perfection to sell ideas of suppression and to sell products. In this capitalist world, the closest relationships become the way of selling need. They tell mothers that children need only this kind of toothpaste or they tell lovers that their love can be confirmed only through a piece of jewelry. When we are bombarded with so much, it is at time difficult to keep our perspectives in place. That exactly becomes the reason why we should fight off the religion called consumerism because our relations can survive without all this if it is true.
