स्त्रीत्व की चरम पराकाष्ठा है मातृत्व
आत्मसात करती है जीवन को अपने भीतर एक स्त्री
और तब वो गढ़ पाती है अपनी एक दुनिया
जिसको हम परिवार कहते हैं

परिवार बीज बोता है संस्कार का
संस्कार वृक्ष की तरह अपनी जड़ें फैलता है
और तब एक सभ्यता खड़ी होती है

सभ्यता से समाज उत्पन्न होता है
जो की एक दम भिन्न होता है
जंगल से

एक स्त्री भागति नहीं है
प्रकृति के करवटों से घबरा कर
वो बस खड़ी हो जाती है
प्रकृति के सामने
एक समानांतर प्रकृति बन कर

वो युद्ध नहीं करती
साक्षात्कार करती है
आसमान में लटकते नक्षत्रों का
सुख के गिरते पत्तों का...

ये क्या बना दिया हम लोगों ने
अपने जीवन को?

कितनी काल्पनिक लग रही है दुनिया
कितना अजीब हो गया है सब कुछ।

प्रकृति तो वैसे ही
अपने धुन में अलमस्त है
सूर्योदय तो हो ही रहा है
लेकिन अब सवेरे नए नहीं लग रहे
सूर्यास्त भी हो रहा है
लेकिन धूप कम नहीं हो रही
मानो जैसे भरी दुपरी में चलते चलते
जीवन कहीं रुक गया है।

क्या हम नए यथार्थ में प्रवेश कर गए हैं
या फिर हम नया यथार्थ बना रहे हैं
खुद के लिए
या फिर हम यथार्थ को बदल रहे हैं
जैसा कि हमें आदत है
अपने कपड़ों की तरह
अपने यथार्थ को भी बदल लेने का
अपने सहूलियत के हिसाब से?
