সময় পিছিয়ে গিয়ে থমকে দাঁড়ালো কিছুক্ষন, কেমিস্ট্রি ল্যাবরেটরির একটা অন্ধকার কোণে...
- "এটা কি করলি অভি?"
- "ভালোবাসায় চুমু খাবার অধিকার আছে, ছিল, থাকবে।"
- "ধ্যাৎ! অসভ্য!" লজ্জায় দৌড়ে পালিয়ে কোথায় যেন হারিয়ে গেছিলো শ্রী।

বাস থেকে নেমে যথাসময়ে মুখোমুখি হলেন, শিক্ষিকা শ্রীময়ী চৌধুরী, রসায়নবিদ্যা, যাদবপুর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এবং কৌশিকের বাবা ফার্মাসিস্ট মি. অভিজিৎ বোস।
বেয়ারা এসে দেখিয়ে দিয়েছিল ডিসকাশন রুমের দরজা।
ডিসকাশন রুমের ভেতরের আলাপচারিতা ছিল একান্তই গোপন। তেত্রিশ বছরের পুরনো একটা অসমাপ্ত ভালোবাসার গল্প পর্দার আড়াল থেকে বেরিয়ে আদৌ মাথা তুলে দাঁড়িয়েছিল কিনা জানা নেই। জানা নেই কৌশিকের বাবা এখনো অবিবাহিত শ্রীময়ীকে দেখে কতটা খুশি হয়েছিল, যে কেমিক্যাল ল্যাবের পুরোনো রিঅ্যাকশন আবার জীবনে নতুন করে দানা বাঁধছে। জানা নেই কৌশিকের শাস্তির বহরটাও।
শুধু, ম্যাডাম এর হাতের একটা খুব সাধারণ আংটি আর মি. বোস এর ওয়ালেটে লুকিয়ে থাকা আবছা একটা ছবি; আরো একবার প্রেমে পড়েছিল।
রসায়ন কি শুধু বইয়ের পাতায় থাকে বন্ধু? সে যে সম্পর্কের ভাঁজে ভাঁজে জীবনেও থাকে, খুঁজে পাবার অপেক্ষা মাত্র!!!-

Anny checkes the assignments thrice as she was not sure whether it was really Manav who did the assignments or someone else.
She was feeling very guilty that she said him 'Kutta' yesterday night.
On the other side Manav was also feeling sad for replying so rudely in the group.
Both were not ready to confess each other mistakes.
But as preet being manav's best friend , Manav feels an urge to tell preet about him feeling sorry for being so rude last night.
So Manav walks to preet pulling him aside from the group and tells him about what he is feeling now.
So Preet told Manav that even he couldn't do anything as he also knows Anny through this seminar only.

Later Both slept.
Next morning Preet called Manav to wake him up to complete the assignment given to them.
Manav said ,"Tu hi kar le bey"
Preet said," Teri dost ke ijaazt ka sawal h re."
Manav emotionally replied,"Oki fine. I'll help you but inturn in need something "
Preet agreed for Manav's proposal as he wanted the assignment to be get completed.
Second days event started and as instructed all the volunteers were ready to collect the assignment.
Anny was shocked to see Manav submitting the assignment that too he was on time.

Chapter 3: Flashback
Maira was a sincere kid, regular to school, always obeyed everyone, helped her mom in her household chores, helped her brother in studies. She was a perfect daughter.
That day, she was having dinner. Her father was watching the news. News flash was all about burning of 3 train bogies filled with Hindu passengers and putting all the blame on Muslims. News of curfew in the Muslim colony was all over the news. Being a 12 year old and away from all the negative expects of society, Maira was playing with her brother but tension was easily visible on her parents' face.
"Doctor sahab, doctor sahab, mareez hu, madad kardo, bete ko talwar maari hai!" Someone was shouting at the door. Dr. Khan was afraid to open the door, but at the same time, he couldn't let a patient die. His oath taken as a Doctor was flashing in front of him.
Dr. Khan got up to open the door. As he opened the door, he was butchered with a sword. Little Maira saw her father's body fall down covered with blood.-
And the next thing happened when Prof Basu left the class, was Ryan walking up to Trina, holding his hand out, and smilingly blurted, "Hi, I am Ryan. I'd like to be an ordinary friend of you who I feel extraordinary.
I saw her enviously, and watched her cheeks transforming into red..
