When we expect lots of love from special one but receive only hatred.
And receive lots of care and love from those we don't expect anything.

Why is it so?
When we ask somebody for help but receive only excuses.
And receives many helping hands from those we don't hope for it.

Why is it so?
When we want to be all alone but receive people's attention.
And receive no attention when we need it.

Why is it so?
When we pray to GOD for Goodwill but receive malevolence.
And receive bonhomie environment when we don't pray for it.

ये दरख़्त चौखट हैं
उस वातावरण की
जो हमें विरासत में मिला है
क्या तुम सुन सकते हो करतल ध्वनि इन हरे पत्तों की
क्या तुम सुन पाते हो उस कटफोडवे की टक टक
इन गिलहरियों ने तो तुम्हारे जीवन में अटखेलियों का जिम्मा लिया दिखता है
अरे ये कौआ क्यों इतना चिल्लाता है, लगता है पिटाई हुई है चील से
उस गिरगिट का नाम भी है पर निशान नही दिखेगा तुम्हें
बच कर रहना उस सरसराते हुए सांप से...
वाकई इस पेड़ के आंगन में ज़िंदगी बस्ती है...

Balloons, bubbles and bonhomie

Why just balloons, bubbles and bonhomie,
Why not bag fulls of green with envy, broccoli?
Or boots, buckles and belts,
Bracelets, balls and bolts,
Bolts come with nuts
But
Tickle tickle tickle,
Save the balloon from the needle,
The needle has an eye,
But it never demands an eye for an eye,
Quietly it lies with with rolls of threads and buttons happily,
Amidst warm bonhomie.

My love, to knot the words - in rhyme
In every sentence, every time
At me are those, striking a hammer
Whose ploys are blown , to rile n stammer

They wish to chase and corner me
As I stand at them, with bonhomie
Dreaming to tie me up, and invade
I will fight them rhyming - calling a spade, a spade
