The school going children wrapped in shrouds
All the creatures great and small wakeup drenched in sweats
Every single living souls are mourning , even the clouds
Children's bodies are being ploughed
The Red stains and corpses laid on the road
The seeds of massacre and inhumanity have been sowed
Here and now, parents without kids
And kids without parents
No cradle songs to sing, No promises to keep
No memmories to revive, No energy to cry

इनसे दूर रेहना , ये लोग बम बनाते हैं ,

बड़े अजीब लोग है यार तुम्हारे शेहर के ,
मंदिर-मस्ज़िद ज्यादा स्कूल कम बनाते हैं ,

सारी दीवारों पे हम लोग सच लिख देंगे ,
मेरे कुछ यार-दोस्त हैं जो कलम बनाते हैं ,

जिन्होंने अँधेरे में पूरा शेहर ही फूंक दिया ,
अजीब बात है वो पेशे से मरहम बनाते हैं ,

कबतक रखोगे अपने दिलों में नफरत ,
सुनो , हम मोहोबत्त की नज़्म बनाते हैं ,

इंसान ही इंसान का दुश्मन है , लानत है ,
हमसे अच्छे हैं कीड़े जो रेशम बनाते हैं ।
