खनकी है मृदंग ताल, आसमाँ भी आज लाल
कर दिया जो शंखनाद , मग्न जल हुआ कपाल
केसरी लहू है जो , काला रंग रक्त उबाल
अस्त्र शस्त्र लौह वस्त्र , हाथ में हैं बर्छी - भाल
अश्व गज भुजंगलाल , अग्नि नीर भू पाताल
भिड़ गए सब एक साथ,बजी खड़ग मचा बवाल
श्वेत वस्त्र भाँगर धरा , आज सब हुए हैं लाल
साँझ झांकती है जब , दिन ढले ना क्या मजाल
युद्ध का हुआ ये हाल, जीते सैन्य मौत अकाल
सैन्य दल आलय बेहाल , मौत का हुआ मलाल
इक तरफ है जीत जश्न, इक तरफ विषाद जाल

As scarlet took over the blue sky
the clouds shimmered with golden lining
promising a hope of new mornings
I slid myself into the warmth of the night.

As they lay inside the dorm
