ख़त

यूँ तो और भी तरीके हैं इज़हार-ए-इश्क़ के,
मगर जब तुम ये ख़त लिखते हो,
तो खालिस मुहब्बत लिखते हो,......

Those cheesy bites
That romance
Those lovely sights
That dance
That rising sun
And your glance
Those cozy lips
Worth a chance

Time went on, so did I
The gloomy winds, bid goodbye
The sun arrived, shining its glory
Life started writing another story
The breeze promised waters calm
The dreams went on holding future in my palm
Finally I saw the moon, who gave me solace
And I walked right ahead to a bright new place

I maybe a sinner, I broke your heart
Or maybe a killer, I tore us apart
I maybe accused of loving you honey
Then how did I end up so lonely?

Six passengers. All by themselves. On central table seats with three on a side. Breakfast served. Started together in unison. Felt like a joint family.

I hate to say a bye, each time you turn around
I hate to know I would still be waiting for you
I hate to breathe your smell around me
I hate to admit I hope you wait for me
I hate to be selfish beyond my fears
I hate to no longer control my tears
I hate you can't admit your love somehow
I hate I am turning bitter starting now
I hate that I might turn my back on me
I hate when I stay awake and not sleep
I hate to pray that you find love some day
I hate to cry for I paved that way

I loosen my grip, I let you go
You're free, my love
All my fears, I overcome
All my tear, now numb
I let you go, cuz I know one day
You'll find your destination
The wind will sway, you'll find your way
As you reach the heights you want
But believe me, when you look around
You'll find me waiting
In the same aisle that you left me
The distance would age the youth
But the spirit never die
With our song of love on my lips, I'll stand by
Humming the rhythm of that love
Out of sight and blue
My strength withers without you
Hair receding, face wrinkled, eyes lit with hope
I still get the tings and hues of pink
When I think about you
Lonely now, my heart beholds, what remains untouched
Dwelling in a cocoon, I find my moon, In your memories
I finally see myself, the little girl filled with cheer
Who let go of her heart shaped baloon
Without any fear

On the scribbled pages
of your leather-bound diary,
garnished with dust,
two lines lie separated in the curve
of the letters as I muse, in-between.

Caressing the unread words.
Kissing over spilled ink.
Entangling ourselves
into the little cobwebs
of an unread love,
thus we meet.

We meet betwixt
a poetry.
