my office window,

near to the college canteen

Yesterday the sound of train
made me nostalgic.
My heart began to beat
faster as I travelled back in time.
To my childhood,where trains
passed by to a small station
near our colony.
We kids would hear the train
coming and ran to the terrace to wave.
You would come to your terrace too
and in that millisecond meet up
we would smile at each other...
