I am
a tree
to you. You,
sir, would breathe
in my air, feed on fruits,
rest in the shadow, climb
when bored, burn leaves for
warmth, and would embrace me
when they
come to
destroy me.
But, would
take the axe
and cut my
bark, take
me home,
put me on
the roof.
And I, sir,
would provide
you shelter, just in
a hope to dwell in your home forever.
