I wake up and open my eyes to see the sun out,
When I realize that the fire in my heart is out,
I notice my skin to be dry as a parched desert,
I seem to have forgot I have rights to assert.
I cannot seem to find my long lost heart inside,
Which used to thud in my chest with you beside,
I spent my days with you only to have been denied,
The very presence of your warmth by my side.
My heart has been crying out tears of blood,
My heart stuck in your memories akin to mud,
I don't want to spend the life I've like a dud,
Your touch will make me rise like a lotus bud.
I find out how dried leaves are akin to my skin,
For your absence has left me dry from within,
The melody my heart hums screech like a violin,
How do I tell you why my patience is now thin?
